Background
The client’s warehouse in Johannesburg was broken into and stock was stolen.
Event
At 05:29 the client called the control room to report a break in at one of their warehouses during the night. The control room immediately sent an activation message to the Mtrack unit that was hidden in the stock.
The client then reported that the suspects actually broke into some of the courier vehicles and stole the cargo. A recovery team was dispatched.
At 07:15 the agents reported that they had found the stolen cargo and that the Mtrack unit was reporting from a white interlink trailer. They were waiting for SAPS backup to arrive so that they could inspect the inside of the trailer as it was not locked.
At 07:35 the client arrived and the agents were requested to stand down as the client’s security company took over the scene.
Value
R500,000 for the goods and R350,000 for the client’s trailer which was also recovered.
