Stolen Scottish JCB found in Cumbria
Revised: December 12, 2008
Using the tracking device fitted to the vehicle, tracking
specialists were able to pinpoint the location of the JCB mini
digger and trailer in an area south of Glasgow.
The Police were alerted, but when they arrived at the specified
location, the vehicle, which was reported stolen on 25
November had been moved. But a team from vehicle tracking specialists Mtrack relocated the JCB which had been stolen from a tool hire company travelling south towards England.
Police were able to calculate the vehicle’s arrival time in
Penrith, where they pulled over a convoy of three lorries, one of which contained the mini digger.
The drivers of the three lorries are assisting Police with their enquires.
